Hydrocracking merupakan suatu proses yang mengkonversi umpan menjadi produk yang lebih ringan dengan bantuan katalis dan gas hidrogen. Selain itu hydrocracking dapat didefinisikan sebagai proses produksi fraksi-fraksi ringan berkualitas tinggi dari minyak berat dengan bantuan hidrogen.
